I am looking to get a dashdaq xl for my 2012 6.7. My question is why do I not see many people running this and only see the h&s being praised? When I had 6.4's, spartan was the only way to go. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I know one guy that used to run a Spartan tuning (with a Dashdaq XL) and he has since switched over to H&S. My reasons for using an H&S product are simple. I think he sold the Dashdaq XL for a huge loss.
1. H&S is an outstanding company with an excellent reputation for customer service that is actually service.
2. Shift on the fly capabilities and diesel tuning expertise.
3. Transmission tunes are far better in my opinion. I am not a fan of the transmission tuning from Spartan for the 6R140. It was very harsh and I could see unnecessary strain being put on it. If they have fixed this, it is unknown to me which could be a #4...no marketing at all.
I agree with Savage. I had an H&S Mini Maxx on my 11 F250 and it was a great tuner. I almost went with Spartan, and wanted to as they are local to me, but H&S customer service won me over. At the time H&S also had very few issues if any. I have no idea now as I haven't researched in a few years.
Just go to h&s website and look at all the updates that been released since they started tuning the 6.7. Most recently tuning that is easier on the turbo, h&s is known for having better & safer tuning now.
