77' a/c system upgrade
Ive got a 77' F-350 cc 4x4 with a 460. I was having a belt squealing issue so I installed a serpentine set up from a 90s model 460 with a/c delete. My a/c system was complete until I removed the compressor when I removed the 400m and installed the 460. Has anyone ever converted their truck to acomidate the 90s style compressor? I took some pics of a 90s ford truck and it looks like I would have to swap everything over, condenser, accumulator, etc which I dont think would be a big deal its getting it to match up to the lines going into the evaporator which would be the issue. Any help would be appreciated.

you can have an A/C shop make custom lines, using the fittings for the 90's style compressor(most likely an FS10/FX15), and the 70's evaporator(suction), and condenser(discharge) fittings..going rate for custom lines/line rebuilds is parts, plus $75 labor per hose/line here in Phoenix, AZ. take some measurements, find a good a/c parts shop, tell them what you are planning to do, and they should be able to hook you up..
