Noob with a question.
The one I want is a 1990 F-150 XLT Lariat with the I6, 2WD, 5-speed manual transmission, 8ft bed and (seller says) 176,000 miles (5 digit odometer, can't be certain he's right). It's a bit rusty but in my opinion still really good for being 24 years old. The interior is *really* clean as well.
However, I just saw today a 2000 F-150 with the 4.6L V8, 2WD, automatic, long bed with 172,000 miles. There are no pictures of the inside and the one photo shows no rust on the body, but who is to say what the back and other side look like. Also, that seller says "Believe it or not, it drives!" which is worrying.
Both these trucks are 200+ miles away and are both asking $995. I'm still leaning toward the 90 because there are more photos and I can see all the angles (apart from underneath). Are there any benefits to choosing the younger one? I'm not a Ford guy, so opinions?
