May Meet

Well, April's meet is done, time to plan for May! So there was an idea by Bently_Coop to have some kind of Tech Meet where we meet up and work on stuff. It sounds like I good idea, the only issue is location and for me, time.

I guess we can brain storm about it for a while. If all else fails, Jimmy Macs isn't going anywhere.

Currently have a busy month scheduled. I am scheduled to work Memorial Day weekend but am available the Friday prior depending on funds of course. If we had a group with some simple projects I could host and potluck style BBQ with refreshments. It would have to be worked on in the driveway though. Garage has cars in it currently.

The only simple stuff I've got at the moment are door seals, hinge pins, and a few other small stuff. However, I'll probably end up doing that stuff this wednesday.

Believe Joewelds has the annual car show at the Ballard Elks coming up this month, went last year and it was a pleasant smaller show.

Having a 5 day old baby at home I'm playing everything minute to minute.

If at all possible I will have the crew at the show, might be able to swing it as my Birthday celebration. lol.

Ballard Elks Truck & 4x4 show

First off, who you calling old? Haha
Yes the Truck and 4x4 show is Memorial Day may 26th. Rain or shine. It starts at 0800. $20 suggested donation. The money raised will go to Elk charities. There will also be a BBQ all day. I've been plastering local trucks with flyers. It is open to everyone. We will also have use of the lodge and the lounge for those of us that are of age.
It's going to start at 0800, like I said and go all day. It is also Memorial Day so I won't be back until 1000. I will be meeting the Ballard Elks Veterans committee and Boy Scouts at Crown Hill Cemetery for a Flag raising and small ceremony. Once we are done there we will go back to the lodge for a brunch and an other ceremony. Then I will be able to hang out at the Truck show.
The address is:
Ballard Elks Lodge #827
6411 Seaview Ave NW
Seattle, WA 98107-2666
United States
If anyone has any other questions you can call me at 206-501-6937

Haha, did I say old? I meant wise . Thanks for the info, that would be a great place to meet if everyone is willing to go. If I can get the time off I'd be able to make it. However, my truck wouldn't be there. I'd be in my mustang.

It'll be going on all day. Around noon it should really be going strong I'd say.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be making an appearance . Work is getting busy and we are losing 2 people for a bit. I don't think anyone can afford time off for a while.

The 25th is my birthday and the good and bad is people are driving down so unfortunately I won't be able to make it, really enjoyed it last year but also not realistic to drag my 3 week old around a car show all day.
