Look on car-part.com to find junkyards in your area that claim to have one.

If can't find one, and you are handy with a welder, you could get a gas one and repair yours. It's a lot of work but sometimes it's your only choice.

Two possible radiator supports for 1983 F350 6.9L =

E3TZ-16138-F .. Radiator Support-Diesel with Xtra or Super Cooling Radiators / 25 5/8" x 31 1/8" opening radius / Obsolete

1983/86 F250/350 / Last MSRP: $675.15 ~ Dealer net cost: $405.09.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
-------------------------------------------------------
E4TZ-16138-D .. Radiator Support-Diesel with Standard Cooling Radiator / Obsolete

1983/84 F250/350 / No prices available.

CURRENT RIVER FORD in Doniphan MO has ONE = 573-996-7163.

No other Ford dealer, no obsolete parts vendor has any.

On a gas support, the bar under the radiator goes straight across. On a diesel, it dips almost to the bottom of the frame. Now, there are some diesel supports in that year range that were on non-a/c or dealer add-on a/c that were pretty much like a gas support. The trade off is that the radiators can be hard to find. They were very uncommon.

It may have not been made clear enough in the previous post. There were two types of radiators for the diesels, a very tall narrow one and a wide one. You need to see which one you have, so you can get the right core support. Most of them I have seen are the very tall units.

If this isn't clear, what the hell would be?

Specs are listed for one of the supports, it's up to the OP to measure the opening radius.

William, in numberdummy's first post he had the dimensions of the opening in the center of the core support. If it matches those dimensions it's the first one he listed, if not it's the second one.
