upfitter switches
You have got to be kidding me. 600 miles on a Platinum F250 and it doesn't have upfitter switches. Salesman told me even though the switch are not in place that the wire harness is there already. Ford parts department told me the harness isn't there and that Ford stopped putting upfitter "accessories" in their 2014 models. What is the bottom line, is the harness in there? Ford part also told me they don't selll the harness kit and switches and that I have to buy them aftermarket from someone else. Is the harness in there already and if not where can I get the kit?

If it wasn't ordered from the factory, then the harness is not there and the switches are not there (obviously) but both can be ordered through Ford Parts, you need to ask for the harness and switches for a 2013 Super Duty. It's an easy install, I've seen several writeups on this site.

The install was pretty simple, mostly plug and play. There is instructions with it on how to install.

My new 2014 came with the switches as an option. What are you all using the switches for primarily? I was thinking some bed lights would be my first upgrade but 4 switches...I can't think how Ill ever fill all of them.

There is no change from the 11-13 switches, unless something changed it should fit the 14's as well. Most places haven't updated their systems for the 14 yet

The salesman is an idiot, The upfitter switches are an option for all super duty trucks, with kits by Ford for those trucks that don't have them, the harness are in console and easy enough to install. I've been there and done that on my 2005 truck but I've made sure that those following would always have them.
