Oh boy!! Chelle says she liked having the meet but she also likes going somewhere else. Let us rest up from this one, then we'll decide on next year. I think I'd like to do it again but it would be nice if this could turn into a traveling type of thing. I'd like to see if I could make another trip in the F-2.

Woohooo!!

From the sounds of it, a good time was had by all. Excellent, I'm glad that the weekend was a success!!

I'm just curious about one thing. Whats all that green stuff all over the ground? That's the greenest dirt I've ever seen......must be some kind of Great White North thing or something...

John, there is no minimum number of posts needed to attend a stock or fest, just be an active member. We like to know our guests a little before inviting them into our homes. So far everyone I've met at our meets haven't been too strange, there are a couple of exceptions but we all keep our eyes on them

Bobby, the green stuff is called "grass", we have a lot of it up here, it even grows in places we don't want it to grow. Within a couple of months we'll have white stuff all over the green stuff, that's called "snow". I hate snow.

My wife Chelle spend the better part of the day resting, she deserved every minute of it. We don't host many parties of any size but this bash was the greatest. It makes you feel good to know you have so many friends, you can never have too many friends.

OK folks, here's the story. I've known John, the owner of the F-8 for around 20 years, I've never rode in his truck. Rob and Ty met him one day and within 24 hours they both got to ride in the truck. I made sure I got a ride in the truck before John left, that's me in the shot gun seat in the road kill video. My wife said Rob came back to the group checking his pants for wetness after the close encounter with the stainless grill. I'm sure Rob could think of a lot worse ways to go than being run over my a rare Bonus Built Ford truck.

Andy is pretty proud of his engine and so am I. He's spent a lot of time getting it to where it is today. He's been bitten by the Old Ford truck bug but I'm not worried, heck, I'm not even going to try to search for a cure.

BTW, I told them they weren't going to pull start the 8N but they wouldn't listen! It was fun watching though.

Rob a great big thanks for posting the video, I'll be reliving Dairyland Truckfest 2014 in the near future while the thermometer is hovering below freezing and the snow is blowing. I think you really caught the feeling of Truckfest.

John, you wont' regret taking a drive to attend one of these events. Like I tell people, these meets aren't amazingly exciting events, nothing really exciting happens that will be in the next day's newspaper. What they are is a great time meeting people you've been typing with for 5-10 years and finally putting a face and handshake to that person. Swapping stories around a campfire, giving a fellow old Ford truck light hearted jab, helping with the occasional truck problem and just having a good time. I drove hundreds of miles to attend the first meet and will never regret or forget it. I'm waiting for the next one and hope I can again drive my stock F-2.

If you are ever in the SE WI are let me know.

Those are some great pictures and videos.
After seeing this and Scott's (tinman52's) recent pictures in the through the windshield thread. I really want to get my truck road ready, take a few days to arrive at one of these events and take a few days to get home.

I even got to thinking that for my flatbed (Yet to be built.) I could make some bed sides and create some sort of canvas tonneau cover for the trip. With my family schedule all my trips anywhere have been a rush to get to the location and a rush to get home. It sounds wonderful to travel back roads at 50 mph and just go......sigh.....one of these days.
