I have built cars and my biggest regret is lack of documentation. So I wanted to get ahead of the game and start a thread before I even buy the X. So in the mean time I will use this thread to solicit opinions and part numbers. Please do not post pictures unless it is relevant for explanation.
I am currently working on trying to pick up a 2000 V10 XLT 4X4. I am also brainstorming mods so I will post a few of the things I am thinking about and would love input as well as relevant photos.

I am sure there is more that I want to do but I guess I need a truck and some ideas...

The cost of aftermarket mirrors is about half what Ford wants. Several Excursion and Super Duty members have upgraded using another vendor and have nothing but good things to say.

I do not have a large bank account, I am however selling my vehicles which should clear up plenty to do the mods. I have nothing but time. I haven't received my 2013 taxes yet so that will cover the Lift, Tires and gun vaults as well as rack and lights. Probably more. Best part is, I found a woman who understands my addiction and it doesn't phase her one bit....

This seems pricey for only 26" bar @ only 24 led bulbs. When you start shopping for a LED bar check around a bit, they have some in the 5 watt led now and soon will have 10 watt. The one's I run are all 5 watt, Aurora.
