A relative of mine in Arkansas has a 72 Olds coupe with 1100 miles on it. No one has ever sat in the back seat. He keeps it spotless and starts it from time to time. I asked him why and he said he likes his pickup and "never got around to using the Olds".

The F3 stakebody that my great-grandpa bought new in 1952 was just used at harvest time to haul ear corn from field to corn crib for the first 30 years of it's life and accumulated only 6000 miles, mostly in first gear. I inheirited it in 1984 and used it to pull wagons and carry shelled corn in the bed during harvest for the next nine years, racking up another 6500 miles. Drove it in my great-grandpa's funeral procession in 1993 (he was 99 years old when he passed away), used it that fall, and then decided to 'semi-retire' it. I rebuilt the motor and repainted the truck about seven years ago, and it's only got about 100 miles since, mostly in 'parade duty', (I once hauled the entire contingent of county fair queen contestants in it!) , but I still use it sometimes on the farm. Not sure what the exact miles are, but definitely under 15,000.
I have heard of mustangs with like 200 miles on them, 1/4 at a time I suppose they only drove it them off of the trailer, down the strip, and back to the trailer. I know that these drag cars don't count, but thought I would mention it.
In most cases, drastically low mileage is just as bad as high mileage as far as vehicle condition. Good idea though. I remember someone around here had an old mustang with 0 miles on it. It was in some garage...till the garage burn't down and that was that.
My Mustang when I bought it in '71 had 17,### and it was 7 years old. Now it has 72,### and is nearing forty. The truck has 72,### on it which is original. These two aren't nearly as old as the others mentioned but they do get used on a regular basis.
