Fried Green Tomatos
I haven't planted a garden in a few years but I did this year. I planted a few tomato bushes this year among other things. I usually don't eat tomatos all that much except maybe in a hambuger. I planted them for my wife and to give them away to people who do like tomatos.
A co-worker of mine suggested I try some fried green tomatos. His recipe is to pick tomatos that are just starting to turn color. The greener ones are ok, just more tangy. Slice thin, dip slice in egg batter and coat with grated parmesan cheese and put them in a hot skillet with a little oil. So I tried them. Boy, they sure do taste good! Now I'm hooked and so is my wife.
How many of you out there like these tasty treats? Got any good recpies to share?
I think I'm gonna keep all of the tomatos to myself now.

Fried Green Tomatos
YES green mayder pie is good.fried green mayders is also good fried with corn meal.you can take a fried green mayder about a 1/4 inch fried with corn meal put it in a good home made biscuit theres noting better.
