I'm so sorry for this lousy post, but I was hoping someone could try to ID my transmission with these lousy pics.

1964 F100's came with FX Cruise-O-Matic, the trans pan has 14 bolt holes.

hey nd. thanks. i'm not sure this is the original transmission since it is an automatic. i will count the bolts this weekend. what's a c4 have? or a c6? it has to be one of those three, right?

oh, the picture shows 10 bolt holes in the pan.

No such thing as a 10 bolt pan for any FoMoCo A/T.

C4 has 11 bolts, but was not available in F100's until 1965, and then only with 240/300's until 1969 when the 302 was introduced.

my sister thinks it's a c4 also. she knows her transmissions! she used to overhaul them.

Trans pan is basic part number 7A194, bolts follow applications.

11) 378782-S .. Bolt-pan to case 5/16" -18 x 9/16."

Left: 1965/72 car / Right: 1964/72 F100/250 & Econoline. 1964 applies to Econoline only.

I have a ford trans pan bolt chart that I've had a long time and for some reason it shows 10 bolt holes for the c-4...I looked at a couple different ones on line and they all show 11...I stand corrected!
