Need help with Grade 8 Locking Header Bolt Kit

So I need some assistance guys.

I did email them, but my question is this. I'm doing a set of Banks Power Pack headers, and I keep seeing people saying the hardware on them sucks. I don't know any better but I'm not happy with them being 12pt bolts. That being said, I have with the kit, 13 - 1 1/4" bolts that go straight on the header and to the block. Then there are 2 3" bolts on the passenger side that hold up other components, and then a single 2" bolt on the driver side that holds something else.

So which of these do I use the Grade 8 Locking Header Bolts on? Do I just go the 13 that go straight to the header and block, and then just use the longer Banks bolts for the others? Help please!

Also!! I was told that I did not need a gasket for these headers. I did buy some high heat gasket rtv and use it. But do I HAVE TO buy a gasket. I need to know before I get too far in. I have the passenger side on already, but I can get it back off again and get a gasket in there if I need to.

Need some help guys. I appreciate any!

Thanks!

Never mind guys, they responded to me email.

Great customer service. I'm going to order this afternoon when I get off work.

"So I'm a bit confused as to what to get from you guys, and cost.

I have a 94 F350 with a 7.5L 460. I am currently installing a banks header kit, and they have black 12pt bolts included. There are 13 1 1/4" bolts, 1 2" bolt, and 2 3" bolts.

So what do I need from you guys, how exactly does this system work? Do I just replace all the short bolts that connect the header straight to the block, or do I also worry about the 2 3" bolts and the 2" bolt that goes through spacers and hold the other accessories around the block?

I could use your help guys. Also, if I were to order, I'm from Sacramento California, how long will it take to get them to me. I'm kind of up against the gun and have to be back up and running by next weekend (May 2nd Friday).

Thanks for your time guys. Much appreciated.

Scott"

They responded with this:

"Hello Scott,

This is something we can do. We’ll just build you a custom kit based on the bolt information you’ve provided which is easily done. I would build the kit based on Stage 8 Kit # 8912B which comes with (16) 1 ¼” long bolts and simply substitute three of those bolts with the (1) 2” long bolt and (2) 3” long bolts you need. Pricing would be for the base 8912B kit at $78.10 plus shipping.

The bolts will 3/8-16 12-point bolts like you have now except they will be nickel plated. Give me a call and we can do this today. I can explain how they work as well. We are in the Bay Area (San Rafael) so shipping to you in Sac will only take a day or so even at regular ground shipping

Give me a call.

Still need to know about the gaskets though. Can someone answer that question for me please?

Thanks guys!
