Grab Handles

The wife want ' s grab handles installed on the A pillars of her van, anybody have any ideas on what might fit reasonably well.

look at ones from the dealer and instal them .. there are a few that fit

I agree with Tims01---'twould be the easiest swap.

What year is her van? They became standard beginning '03, kinda tough for the average person to retrofit on anything earlier.

It's a 99 E250. I'll have to take a look at some part breakdowns and see if the new model stuff will fit in it.

In order to fit OEM grab handles you'll first need to add a weld nut or something similar to the A Pillar in order to accommodate the threaded fasteners holding them to the body.

Parts are a bit pricey since you'd need the handles, fasteners and the actual A Pillar trim pieces fitting the grab handles. There are also two each side trim discs covering the fasteners.

Another issue is doing this so close to the windshield---tons of possibilities for that to go awry. Since I'm in the glass/windshield biz I say go for it!
