While accelerating full throttle I hear what sounds like a metal on metal screech at least 60% percent of the time. I haven't bothered taking it in due to our local code-readers will have nothing to go on.
I can't tell if it's the transmission or something coming from the engine itself. The transmission is super slow to shift and gets confused a lot. When going down certain grades, the truck will downshift and rev even when the tow/haul is not engaged. Also, if you jump on the throttle doing 35, the truck will fall flat on its face and almost stall before taking off. This is with the stability control disabled and on dry ground. The truck is a 13 CCLB with 9k on it.
Even if a Check Engine Light doesnt show up the ttruck may have some stored codes in it. You need to have it read for all codes and see if that shows anything.
We could all keep guessing, but in the end it would be to your benefit to take it to the dealer. Even if there are no codes in the memory, you will have at the very least managed to have documented the issue with Ford. This way if later say a few thousand miles out of warranty a major repair occurs you have already documented the matter and can push for repairs to be made due to prior notification.
I'm telling you in this world of paperless communications, it is always best to have a paper trail at times.
Are you able to post a video of this? This is a recurring issue on vehicle enthusiast forums of all sorts - it's very difficult to describe a sound using only letters.

Sounds like it's dealership time, ciscofreak. I'll be happy to loop in your regional customer service manager as well; PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll do the rest!
Mine screeches when I accelerate hard too. It's the tires breaking loose and the g-force pushing me back into my seat.

On a serious note, post a video with sound if you can, otherwise, you'll have to see the dealer. If you are under warranty, I'd just bring it in.
