This is my first post so bear with me please. I have a '95 F-150 (auto) 4WD with a 302 v8 in it, not quite sure on the transmission. I think it's a 4R70W because there's a U under the transmission section on the sticker in the door jam. Anyways, I had just bought the truck from a guy upstate about a month and a half ago and at the time I bought it, it was leaking transmission fluid like no other. Being nowhere near home where I could find and fix the problem myself I took it to a local shop and got the leak fixed. The whole time I've had the truck it's always had a hard shifting up to 2nd gear from 1st (Gears 3 and 4 shift over fairly easy) but now it's also starting to slip out of gear when I come to a stop and try to pick back up again. I was wondering what exactly this means and how i could go about fixing it. Whether it's by the way of buying parts and wrenching on it for a couple hours or if I need to take it to a shop to be evaluated or rebuilt. I've done a little research on the subject already but am sad to disclose that I am still very much in the dark about this situation. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
