Been away from Trucks for about 10 years but just placed an order for a new 2014 F150 4x4. Can't wait til she arrives. Looking forward to meeting and conversing with the forum members here..
What are your plans with the truck, any towing or hauling?
There may be some hauling. Going to be a daily driver for me but hopefully one tricked out somewhat and just fun. Youngest son has already named her "CRUSH". It's color is Sunset Metallic so he thought CRUSH as in ORANGE CRUSH worked.
Will be here by the end of May. I'll post some photos once she arrives.
Past trucks
1985 F150 -- Straight Six Four on the floor and a blast to drive
1992 F150 -- XLT Black with overhead console for the CB.
1998 F150 -- XLT 4x4 Son took it over in 2005 and unfortunately lost control and hit a semi head on. Thank the Lord he survived with a broken femur, broken hip and collapsed lung. He now says he's built Ford Tough..
So on to the 2014 F150 4x4 -- Sunset Metallic, fully decked out. Can't wait for it to arrive. I'm very much looking forward to taking part here in the forums and am truly excited to be back in a truck after a long hiatus.
For those who want to see what my son endured. Here's one picture of the truck after the accident... It's still tough for me to look at this knowing what he went through.
Oh my goodness, what a serious collision. Is he recovered?
Yes he is recovered. Has a permanent rod in his leg (Femur). The hip will have to be replaced at some point but he's been doing extremely well considering. Was in the hospital for about a month. Loads of therapy but doing really well. He's now 25 (he was 19 at the time) so the pain has been long gone. He's driving his own 2005 F150 now. Loves his truck (like we all do)
Welcome aboard!!!
As much as I love my Fords, their replacable. I'd take my family any day of the week over monitary items. Super glad to hear/see he's doing good!!

Thank you! He's doing great and as you can see by the fact that he replaced my truck with one of his own he is as unfazed by it as I guess you can be. Like I said, he joked right after the accident in the emergency room that he's now built Ford Tough! We all had a good laugh over that.
