Scangauge II
I am ordering a Scangauge II from Advance Auto Parts, is it hard to program and where is a good place to mount it? I was thinking buy the A pillar. Now we will see if the numbers match what the truck sounds which is sweet!

theres No way to get a SGII Programed with everything there memory isn't big enough
Sure they come with some the main ones for a 6.0L I imagine
Guess all I am saying is if you pay extra for programming (I Know others Have) its not worth it and they are NOT Hard to program
Find the cheapest one and buy it and Maybe that's what you did already IDK

Here is a quick video on entering Xgauges: (I entered mine alphabetically to make it easier to find the gauge I want. The SGII scrolls through the Xgauges starting with #24)

There is also a pdf floating around with a list of the pids, search scangauge pids. I have an 05, and it fit nicely wedged in the pocket/cubby located in the dash. The plastic anti-skid pad keeps it in place, sits in place very well. I popped a hole in the back of the pocket to route the cable down to the OBD port.

and if you finf you need another gauge then what they Have theres a few of us that have kept up with SGII Gauges, Sean and Myself are some of us that have every SGII Gauge that's came out to date so far
135 for SGII is a Great Deal so I would Buy it
I use SGII so I can also say it works very well for what we Need and I have fixed my truck everytime with it and many other trucks for other people with the SGII
enjoy it they are Fun little toys Mine has saved me 1000's of $$$$

g I have to go in town 20 miles away and pick it up. Thanks all for the videos and advice! I don't know if it will fit in the cubby since I put a brake box there for the horse trailer. Off to Advance!

Oh, 2006White60, the ECT temp is already in the SGII. It is "fWT". So, just add the EOT in and you will be set for the trip home.

Also it not mentoned much but its also good to check FICm at WOT make sure it holds 48 volt under load in addition to the other stuff
maybe you know that IDK throwing it out there
HPO stuff should be checked with EOT 185*f+ so that's ICP, ICPV, IPR% etc

I will just add oil temp in the lot and then add the reast when I get home! again thanks all!! I will let you all know how thing go!
