Member since '08, First post today!!
Hello all,
I'm Scott and currently I am residing in Toledo, OH and Newton, KS. My company is relocating me to Toledo so until we move next month I'm here living in my 5th wheel and flying home every couple weeks.
I actually joined this forum back in '08 when I was having a warm shutdown on my '95 350 PS. Found the information that fixed it without needing to post and honestly forgot I was a member here till I tried to register again.
So a quick rundown, my wife decided last Sunday morning that her Suburban was no longer needed (Kids are grown and all but one is gone) and it was tired, in need of shocks at $1,000 each, a new climate control computer and a host of other things. She left to run some errands and came home in an '04 F-250 Lariat PS. The truck is super clean, perfect interior and didn't appear beat to death. However I'm not happy with the way it "was" running. I say was because Monday afternoon it burped and has been smooth as glass since. So I have been studying the 6.0 on here and it looks like I have some things to look at. The exhaust had been cut off right before the cat but my son in law still had his stock exhaust off his '06 so I fired up the TIG, welded it everywhere he had sawzalled it and now have a factory exhaust back on it. I need to flush the coolant system because it has a light film of oil in the degas. There's other stuff I want to check out on it as well.
In addition I still have one of my 95's, its an extended cab 350 DRW 2WD with a 460 and 104,000 miles. I sold my 95 crew cab PS a few years back at 300,000 miles. Since I'm being relocated to a place that gets more snow than Kansas I'm probably going to sell the 2wd '95 and look for another 4X4 like the wife just picked up but she want's a 10" lift on hers and I'm thinking of finding one for myself and lowering it if that's possible since I don't care for climbing.
