SAE #2 or #3 bellhousing in the transmission tunnel?

Will an SAE #2 or #3 bellhousing fit in the Excursion's transmission tunnel without too much (or any) massaging with the sledgehammer?

The larger the number, the smaller the size.
It appears that a #2 is 18.375 inches in diameter; a #3 is 16.875.

Does anyone have measurements on a 4R100 hellhousing?
