I would highly suggest using mechman.com for the alt. I went with someone else first and wasn't happy - the 160 amp had as much pull as my 250 does now. Technically I have a 3G/4G hybrid alt. but if you just need 150-175 amps, I think a true 3G would be fine and might be a little less than what I have.

If you do decide to buy from them, make sure to call them ahead of time, they have a backlog.

250amps? How do you produce that much power without an 8 rib serpentine belt?

Just does...like I said, it spins as easily as the 160. I think it does this because it's some sort of hybrid, as was described to me. I think it also uses some sort of stepping technology but I don't know. If you call them they can tell you
