Sleeve retainer ?
Working on a 5.0 and trying to seal up both ends of the crank to keep oil actually IN the engine. Rear installed a sleeve and new 1 piece gasket. Bought the kit for the harmonic balancer, with the sleeve in the package was a red sealer, I could get the name in a little while, is this really necessary ? I've installed a few sleeves in the past but was not supplied this product ..... Hope to get to this today, kind of soon ....

Well for everyone else's benefit, got 2 conflicting answers, one that it was a threadlocker, 2nd was that it was more insurance if used between the sleeve and the shaft - I went with the 2nd .... the logic for the 2nd one was that it would eliminate any possibility of leakage of oil between the sleeve and the shaft ....
