Getting off topic there was a segment on the news that these "selfies" pictures might cause the spread of lice.

These types of carburetors were used on all Ford's larger V8s from about 1952 through 1956. I recently rebuilt a similar carburetor for a 1953 Mercury. They are strange carburetors but work decently when they are in good shape.

 

I would pet him and love him and call him George...

 

When I was growing up and trying to learn more about cars, trucks and parts I heard them referred to as aunt hill Holley's.
