you guys with no EGR how do you eliminate them?
i restricted mine maybe a year ago and mine ran good but now i am experiencing very low fuel pressure causing my truck to run like crap. i was told the EGR is probably bad
i dont want to spend $50 unless i have to
any suggestions?

EGR has nothing to do with fuel pressure, they are completely separate systems.
If you have low fuel pressure then either your pump is failing, your regulator is blown out, fuel filter's plugged, strainer (in the tank) is full of junk, or you have a crossleak (if it's a dual-tank truck).
As far as how I ditched my EGR... easy, just disconnected the vacuum line from the valve. You'll get a Check Engine light if you do this. I pulled the bulb on mine... I know when something's wrong with it and I don't need that thing telling me "CHECK ENGINE" when I know it's actually a TRANSMISSION problem.
well i havent done a fuel pressure test yet but i did test the regulator by removing the vacuum line from it and this has fixed my bogging/cutting out. so i am told by removing the line it boosted fuel pressure and that mine was running lean before
so im not sure what part i need to replace (someone said on FTE bad EGR?) it runs ok now but is sucking fuel like nobody's business

On mine, we cut the egr tube about 6 inches from the part that connects to the engine and welded on a cop. For my headers, I ordered a plug from summit racing
Moral of the story is that you NEED to properly DIAGNOSE the problem before throwing parts at it or trying band aids. Compare measurements to specifications and go from there.
