Imported mini trucks.

Well, I'm thinking of buying a mini truck.

Use it for in town cruising, winter snow plowing, and a few yard duties.

Right now we have a ride on mower, push snow blower, and a john deer yard tractor with a mower, tiller, and snow blower.
We also have a golf cart, with big tractor ag tires, we use for ripping around town lots. (illegal, technically, nobody cares though.)

Basically, I'm thinking it will be very useful. It is about the size of a golf cart, but longer, so we can legally drive around town.
The cabs have heat, so thats a huge plus for clearing driveways.
It's small size will let it in and out of the yard easily.
Loading stuff in the back will be a breeze.
If we get one with a plow, we could sell our yard tractor, and golf cart, because we won't need them any more.

Also the rims are able to put quad tires on, so tire selection will be non issue for winter grip.
They come in 4x4, and some even have AC.
I'm seeing a lot of positive in this, over other ideas.
Has anyone here ever bought one?
They look to be about 6k$ to 8k$ for one with like 20,000km's on it, some even lower, like 8,000 km's.

Thoughts ?

The shipyard here uses mostly Daihatsus and Tiger Trucks, they seem to do fairly well. When I was in Idaho they were legal for road use there and the 4x4 ones were more popular than utility quads and side-by-sides for the irrigation guys.

just make sure it is legal for road use in your area. here on the east coast of the states, they are for off road use only.

They're butt ugly but I think they'd be fun.

My last ship had a Daihatsu and that damned thing was a blast to drive!!! I'd love to have one and would encourage anyone to get one if it were legal for on road use.

In a lot of areas they are legal for farm use, just run an orange triangle on the back of it, but there are usually other restrictions like needing to own a farm.

They are legal here, so I'm thinking it will be awesome for ripping around town, and putting a small plow on it.

They look to be around 6000-8000$, thats a small price to pay considering some have like 20,000 km's on them.
