I have seen reports of early built trucks running 200k miles or more with out problems. Some have the valve problem and some don't, any truck made before March 2011 has the highest chance of dropping a valve though. I have even seen a truck with 500k miles and the only problem the owner said it had was the heated seats quit working. Another large issue with these trucks is the turbo. Mines been running 32+ psi of boost for 32k miles so far but its starting to make not happy sounds .
I use my 2011 King Ranch truck primarily for driving between Washington DC and central Michigan, 700 miles each way, and I haven't had any problems with my truck. However, I left my truck pretty much stock and I drive my truck rather sedately. I have put a Titan 50 gallon tank on my truck to enhance range but otherwise I've left the fuel and engine system intact. I never know what to think about the issues I read about on these forums, I can only attest that I haven't had any issues.
70,000 miles on my early build (job 1) 2011 and no major problems. I think if you work it to it's max capability ever day, your going to be more likely to break something. If you drive it as a DD and occasionally max it, you should be okay.
I have a friend who has a 2010 Dodge Cummings, which most think are bullet proof. He doesn't tow a lot, but he removed EGR and DPF stuff, put a tuner on it and at under 80,k miles, he blew a head gasket.
