Why rig it? clock spring takes all of 20 min to replace, the horn pad less than that. Clock spring costs $70 from Ford, I got a horn pad from the junk yard for $1.50 had to take it out myself but no big deal, the air bag had gone off so just 2 screws and a plug.

The reason for the bypass was to avoid ending up with the same problem again. Same reason I went with Bulletproof Diesel parts for the EGR cooler, oil cooler, and FICM, rather than OEM parts.
I found some used airbags on ebay, starting at around $100. I may have to check out some junkyards, but I don't know how to tell if the horn switch would already be collapsed and stuck.
