Grille suggestions?
Hey everybody! I have a question about grille replacements for my '66.... I got one from Dennis carpenter and am not impressed to be truthful. The grill is more aluminum than chrome. I was expecting a chrome grille. Who should I go to for a chrome grille? I have the original but it's been painted in the past. Any suggestions on what you all have used would be great. Thanks

As ND noted the grille is anodized aluminum thus the dull sheen, platter explained to me that chroming soft metal; i.e., aluminum, tends to bring out imperfections; pits, dings, etc., cause by road debris?? If you don't care for the anodized grille, and if the original grille is steel, suggest chroming the steel grille and send the anodized back. Having said that, my 65 is pretty much the family daily driver and used quite often for hauling, construction, etc.
