F-150 mpg

Hey everyone. I'm looking at getting a 1995 V8 5.0 2wd F-150. Does anyone know what kind of gas millage these get? I've heard as low as 8 and as high as 17. I presume ~15 in town?

Properly tuned, 20+ is not out of reach.

In town? That high for a v8 5.0? I'm pretty happy hearing that. I was worried when I heard a lot of 8 mpg and 10 mpg. For that kind o gas mileage I can buy a semi truck! haha

15-17 is generally a combination of city and highway. All in city driving plan on <13

I'm pretty good about missing red lights so most of my driving is closer to highway.
I wish I could rent an F-150 for like a week to really see if I like it. haha.

A 2wd 5.0 f150 should be able to manage mid teens overall, if it doesn't then either it's got serious problems or the driver has a lead foot.

If the 5.0 got 8 mpg around town there would be something wrong with it, or the driver drives like an idiot. My F350 crew cab dually gets 8 around town and it has the gas guzzling 460. My 5.8 powered Bronco gets 10-12 around town, and it has something wrong with it, so the 5.0 should do at least that, but most likely will get 15.

With my 1993 with a 5.8, E4OD, and 3.55s, if I drive easy around town and some highway driving I get right around 12. On a recent trip across nevada at 70-75, I got right around 16.
