Anybody heard of this and know how to fix it.
Pull harness apart all of the shielding it still in tacked. It's so bad that the hood light will kill it, If you can figure out where the signal is coming from, you can stand blocking it and the truck will kind of run. if your out in the country it runs great, but it town you it dies constantly
Red, if you want to throw a part at the problem, with no guarantee of fixing it, try checking all of your ground connections. Remove any wires bolted to the body sheet metal or engine block and clean the metal. Use a little light grease when reconnecting.
Also, check the fuse block for any signs of corrosion. The symptoms you describe do sound like electrical interference.
Which truck are you having trouble with--that is year, model, engine type?
Aftermarket ICP has been know to kill the truck from interference.
There was a thread about this not long ago.
Someone's truck would stall when a walkie talkie was keyed up.
Here are the grounds most likely causing the problem, if it's a grounding problem:

Thanks Pop for posting the picture of the grounds!
My engine has kind of acted like the GPS was failing a while back while the wipers were on and folks here suggested checking the grounds as well.
One of the grounds you picture is the one that the wiper motor and GPS share.-I think its the one on the firewall...

Yes it is.
If it's all clean and bright, and then assembled with an anti-oxidant paste (Penetrox, NoAlOx, etc), you should be good-to-go for another ten years or more without ground-induced troubles.

Good I got anther one that cuts out when the wipers are on that I need to fix when ever the guy brings it to me
I have a hard time believing it's a grounding problem even though I know grounds can cause all sorts of electrical problems. We can make the truck did by driving by the station where my friend gets his fuel. but out in the country it is fine I'll have to ask about the icp.
unless grounds can be interfered with, I can kind of see that
Red, you do have valid point about the grounds. You should keep in mind, though that electrical interference in these trucks can be caused by electrical energy in the radio frequency range, like radio and tv towers, security systems, other vehicles with "smart speed control" which uses a form of radar, tire pressure monitoring systems on small and large vehicles which use radio transmission to communicate with the pressure monitoring system, I will stop there. We are surrounded by cell phones and all this other stuff that can affect equipment that is not properly grounded. As an electrician I have fixed many problems just like this over 40 years.
But, the most likely cause, now that you have shared the type of vehicle is the dreaded CPS-cam position sensor. Go to a dealership and buy one and install. The aftermarket and certain older ones do not shield properly against radio frequency interference. Do not install the sensor if it does not have either a Ford part number or an International/Navistar part number. Also, check the contacts of the wire harness, when you unplug the sensor to make sure they are clean and have no corrosion. Use a little anticorrosion/antioxidant grease in the connection when reinstalling. Good luck and check those grounds in the picture! Larry
If your wipers kill the truck it is most likely the crank position sensor. If I remember correctly it was the BWD sensor that did it on mine. Cleaned my grounds and didn't help. Changed brand and it doesn't do it anymore.
