2001 7.3 starter grinding????

2001 7.3 starter grinding????
issue started about a year ago. when i turn the ket to start the engine sometimes the starter will not pop out all of the way and grind on the flywheel not turning over the engine will do it a time or two and then it will crank normally. so i bought a new one from napa and it will last between 2 weeks and 2 months and i will have to get a new starter because the issue is reoccurring i am literally on my 6 starter. and the 6 one just did it. the alternator, batteries are less than a year old alt charges at 14 volts battery cables have been checked and are fine grounds on block have been cleaned and ignition wire has 12 volts. have checked flywheel and there are not major grind spots most of the grindings are from the solenoid teeth which are made of a denser metal so it would grind before damaging the flywheel. wtf?????
