I'm finishing a restore of a 63 f100 and bought a vent seal set front 49-9355 from LMC and found that it lines up poorly, I gave up on the first door so now I have given up on the second one. I'm thinking of buying another set from Dennis Carpenter...their part number is Citz-8121448...anyone encounter the same problem?
I'm finishing a restore of a 63 f100 and bought a vent windowweatherstrip (seal) set front 49-9355 from LMC and found that it lines up poorly.
I gave up on the first door so now I have given up on the second one. LMC's weatherstrips and most of the other parts they sell...are made in China CRAP!
You get what you pay for, buy the best and cry only once.
I'm thinking of buying another set from Dennis Carpenter (thebest, made in the USA). Their part number is C1TZ-8121448-PR
Carpenter uses Ford part numbers in his catalogs, but when you buy a pair (R & L) of these weatherstrips, he modifies the Ford part number to reflect this.
If you bought these weatherstrips individually, the Ford & Carpenter part numbers: C1TZ-8121448-A Right & C1TZ-8121449-A Left
Dennis Carpenter weather striping worked awesome. Totally satisfied. Was just like putting weather striping on a new car. Worth every penny.( and no, I don't work for them), I'm just satisfied, and that's not easy to do.
I purchased the complete package from DC, fuzzies, and the rubber seal around the wings, both doors, nice stuff, easy to install, looks great. Shipping was fast.

I've used Dennis Carpenter vent window rubbers and various other DC rubber seals, etc on several cars over the years and I've always been very pleased.
I won't buy old car rubber from anyone else.
That having been said...some of the other vendors are reselling DC rubber in their catalogs.
