I finally got her out in a good rain storm....ugh....
Front window has 1 or 2 small leaks (im thinking about trying some black 3m gasket seal buy may have to pull the window and new rubber....was hoping to avoid that).
Passenger door sits a shade too low so the door gasket misses in a couple spots. Ive tried lifting it but it literally is in there the best way i can get it given how tight it is after all the rust repairs, unless i pull the front clip and reset all of it. (Im thinking of adding another piece of door seal to the upper part of the door frame to make up the gaps....though then id have to do the same on the other side, which doesnt need it).
Passenger windshield wiper leaks. I know you can buy the gasket cheap, which I may do. Really id like to figure out a way to mod the wipers/motors into the area i sealed off that used to be the cowl intake vent and completely seal off the wiper arm motor indentations all together.
And a leak from the back somewhere I havent even figured out where its coming from....
Seems i know what needs to be done with all of it (except the wiper mod im considering, not exactly sure how to go about that) just need to be willing to go through the work and money and take it back off the road again. Think id rather drive it a bit longer, but i hate to see any water leak after all that rust repair work. Everything is painted though. Glad i held off on doing any real interior work that would be counter productive to having leak issues. Never ending deal....thanks for letting me vent....
Maybe ill just throw in the towel and buy a crate motor, heidts mustang 2 front, traction bars rear, torq thrust 2 wheels, power steering, a/c, and fab in some better wipers and windshield washer sprayers, pull the windows and re-rubber, then finish out the interior and be completely broke....lol.
I know how you feel. Every vintage ride I have built, always leaked in the rain. Fortunately in Calif. it doesn't come up very often. You can usually "inject" the black windshield sealer between the gasket and the window frame without removing the windshield. The 3M stuff is thick and sticks well. A robust syringe works well. If you can't find one let me know and I'll send you a couple. You can also boost the door weatherstrip by adding some rubber beneath it and the door where it's glued. This way it won't show. I never trust gaskets, like those around the wiper pivots. I would suggest sealer around any body gasket. Good luck!!

Thank you sir. Exactly the kind of advice I can use. I'll give all of it a try and see how it goes.
Thanks again.
