New holley carb

I'm installing a new holley carb on a 68 390. Had an egr valve and new gasket doesn't completely cover the hole on the manifold. Do I need to find something that does or should this not be an issue? Thanks

68 Should have a EGR on it. yea pics

Yes it's a problem, you need to make a spacer of block-off plate or you'll have exhaust blowing up the backside of your carb.
