I recently traded my 2013 f150 KR for a 2014 f250 KR 6.7L SB FX4. I have about 1200 Miles on it with no issues. I haven't changed out the ranchos but, was thinking about the Bilsteins because of what Ive read on here. But, I honestly have had no handling issues what so ever.
I would drive it until you learn it before making any changes that may or may not be needed...
death wobble has still not killed me...
but the stock ranchos did get replaced with rancho 9000's - wish I had done that sooner!
it now doesn't JAR me on bumps, but absorbs it at a more controlled rate...
and that's with them all set in the middle -
haven't even set it to the softest level - which I did when I put them on my Excursions...
Yea I currently run rancho 9000s on my f150, set to 9 for towing purposes. I may go back with them simply for the adjust-ability, but bilstein'ss are tried and true.
I've owned a diesel before, granted it was an 08 duramax.
Is there any recommendations for extra fuel filtering for these 6.7L motors or is it pretty sufficient in stock form.
My truck has not wobbled to the death yet either, think that's more with guys that slap 35s on their trucks, usually dual steering stabilizers help with that issue...
no death wobble on mine yet, but it only has 13k on it. Just get the truck and drive it and see what changes you want to make. The only thing I changed on mine that wasn't cosmetic was to lower the psi in the tires, 80lbs while unloaded makes for a very rough ride. I lowered mine to 60lbs(I raise the pressure when towing/hauling) and that made a world of difference and so far the TPMS light hasn't came on.
Only other thing I can think of is that if you plan on keeping the truck for more than 5yrs cover the underside, above wheelwells, box supports, and inside of rockers and doors with some sort of rust preventer. I use Fluid Film since it's cheap and easy to use.
YES - make the seat belt connectors a little more flexible so I could push them down into the seat so I could lay across the front seat to take a nap without the seat belt connectors making it uncomfortable by poking me in my side.

Just have the dealer rustproof and undercoat. My dealer did it for 499 with a lifetime warranty.
