You really should change the coolant if it has been more than two years. There are aluminum parts in many of our trucks, and the dis-similar metals can cause significant problems if the coolant isn't replaced regularly. I can't say that yours has aluminum, but the likely places are radiator, heater core, and thermostat housing.
Check the belts for cracks and check the hoses also. While you are there waiting for the oil to drain out of the bottle, poke around the carb a little bit and check the condition of the vacuum lines. When the oil can is dripping and you are pulling it out of the engine, put about 3 drips on each battery terminal. Don't over do it, 3 drips will be enough.
Any fittings on the frontend should be greased also. If any of them have been changed out, they probably have fittings. Original pieces usually do not have grease fittings.
This is the great thing about doing your own oil changes and tune-ups. You can find all kinds of problems before you are left stranded on the side of the road.
