Cordless tools - ideas and reviews

Hi all, looking for tips on good tools and interchangibility. Whats worked FOR YOU and what hasn't?

I have DeWalt cordless impact drill and regular drill. I cut 2 pieces of plastic of the regular 9 volt drill so that I could use my 14.4v batteries in it, it is still working fine for me.

What have done or hacked with your cordless tools.

What manufacturers batteries have you found (if any) that interchange with other brands?

too many jobs to count with both impacts and drills. dewalt is excellent btw. i am most happy with my rigid impact and my dewalt drill though. i started out with black and decker years ago. they are not so great. but they get the job done. just dont have a lot of poop and the battery life is crap. but if all your drilling is a couple holes once in a while b and d is ok. my rigid impact will pull lug nuts like they are nothing!

I have lit DeWalts on fire, I don't like them. Milwaukee's new M18 lithium ion setup is very nice, and the Ridgid ones are good but battery life isn't as good as the Milwaukee.

I'm happy with my Dewalt tools.
I'm also happy with my Ryobi tools, but the lithium ION batteries suck.
They seem to run then just nothing. No warning or run slower and slow. I have to recharge them often @ of my batteries are fairly new. My oldest batterie still seems to last longer than the newer batteries.

I like my Milwaukee cordless M12 drill & impact driver. They are small & very powerful. The impact will drive 150 three inch screws on a charge. Their size makes them great for installing cabinets. I want a 18volt 1/2 impact tool. It will replace my tire tool in my F250.
