hey guys i just bought a 1951 f-1 but the vin is throwing me off its f1RDLXXXXXX. all the refrences i know say they changed it mid 51 and this is a 52 vin. i'm confused also can you tell if it has the anniversary trim by the vin?
for a 51 F-1 the number should be F1R1 for a flathead v8 or F1H1 for six cylinder truck.
I would check the number you have against the frame stamp and vin tags?
is that # off the title?
Also we cant tell about the 5 star extra cab options from the vin, but with some pictures of interior etc maybe we can? does it have locking glovebox, key lock on drivers door, dome light etc.
btw Welcome to the group.
Edit, your "DL" is likely a "DI" for Dallas Texas assembly plant and your above number is missing the "1" in between the R and D
your L if you look closely at the stamping could in fact be the letter "I" which sometimes was used for the number 1.

What is that, some kind of roman numeral? Without a complete vin, it's hard to decode all the information. You didn't include the year digit, so we don't know if it's a 51 or 52 either.
