Hi all. I am a new member as of today. I am in Durban South Africa. I am building a 1955 F 100 on a F 250 4 x 4 Chassis. Cleveland 351 V 8. I started 7 years ago and had only done 10 months work on it in 7 years. We have now been on the project since Jan 2014 and 80% done. We have manufactured a 2700 mm long bin, new runner boards and custom pearl paint. We have used 15 lt of Laq at 2 to 1 which is 30 lt so far because of the custom flake. You do not believe how big the truck is until you paint. The engine, gearbox and transfer box have been rebuilt. I am coming to the technical side now as how the vacuum pipes system go as it is a nightmare. Edelbrock Performer LB "351-2V" inlet manifold and Holly "carb. I have set a date to be complete by the end of this month. I think I should have kept my big mouth shut as it is hard going, last 3 nights to 23.00.
I will post photo's from start to finish when we complete the project. It is hard when you cannot go to a dealer and purchase of the shelf. I have ordered all the parts from Bob Drake, Jegs and Blue Oval.
John, nice to meet you.
Welcome to the site. Good luck finding those parts, hopefully you'll get some good leads here. Look forward to seeing your progress!
