So i got a friend who own a company called Rocks to Runners and he builds truck and suvs and such. anyways he made a muffler recently and I have sorta fell in love with the idea of runnoing a muffler thats home made. here it is:
I'm not a muffler designer so I can't say how good it is. I will say that the steel wool he used to pack it won't last very long and will probably rust out the whole thing. What is he going to charge for one? I paid $90 for a stainless Magnaflow with a lifetime warranty and a great tone.
Looks like a lot of work for not much of a performance muffler. Like Evan said, the steel wool won't last too long (should've used fiberglass) and I doubt that thing flows all that well either.
I wouldn't bother with it, but that's just my opinion.
This was his first ever made since then he has changed the thin steel wool to thicker stuff and it sounds better then are only about 30-40$ (Really depending on how big) I plan on running this and i will let you guys know know it sounds hen i do!
