car wash voodoo

I just washed my 07 F350 powerstroke. Just the outside not the engine compartment. Turned the key and noticed the instrument cluster had no power, no glow plug indicator. It starts but hardly any power and RPMs go up and down on their own. Got it home and have the hood up to dry out what may have gotten wet but I don't see any water anywhere. Ideas??

Remove your fuse panel cover under the steering column. Is if wet? If so your windshield is leaking.

I didn't find any water anywhere under there but it all started working again. The windshield does have a crack along the bottom so maybe that's it.

If there was no water in the fuse box, look just behind the fuse box at the GEM. That's what probably got wet. Had that happen to me with a bad window seal. Water dripped down the firewall behind the dash right onto it. Had wacky electronics until it dried out.
