Been having some trouble with my windows since the sound system install. My master switch will roll down all the windows except the right rear, pretty sure it needs a motor, it was an issue before the sound system, but the issue is none of the other switches will work at the other windows. Almost like the lock out button is down. But I checked like 5 times and it's not. Any ideas?
When I got my truck a year and a half ago the paper work said the right rear window was fixed with a new motor. Now it quit working and I can't figure out why. I checked the wire harness, replace the switch and bought a new master switch. I tried a different switch on the right rear. I'm not highjacking Thomas, LOL I should just have said 'subscribing'!
I'm betting the switch for the drivers side front window is bad. That window will work, but it is now letting the others work. All the juice for the other windows run threw that switch.
That makes sense. I fiddled with the lock switch and got the left rear one to work but still cant get the right front or rear to work. Now I'm wondering about the switch as well.
And Glenn don't worry about it! If we can both learn somthing in the process then it will all be worth it right? Thats what its all about!

I would pull the switch assembly out and try wiggling the wiring harness to the switch. Sometimes the simplist things are the last looked
haha Nick, its the only one I could find for a switch. The motor was replaced before I got the truck according to the papers I got with it. The thing is, I'm thinking its not the master switch because its doing the same thing now as it was. I'm just going to have to check that wire harness out again and pull the door panel to look further.

Oh I wasn't talking about the switch. I was meaning more the motor. Btw, where did you get the replacement switch. My master switch is pretty beat up and it's not to easy to find cc switches with power mirrors
I had quite the issue over the last 3-4 years with my CC. Passenger rear was actually taped shut about an inch at the top for a little while, didn’t ever get around to replacing the motor. Slowly more and more windows started failing intermittently, and the controls at each door were failing, and would only work from the master driver switch. Slowly that started to fail to the point only two windows were usable, one was the driver side front from the master control, and the driver rear that only worked on the single door switch. Once the driver front started to not roll up but would go down I spent the 60 bucks and got an OEM panel. Low and behold it fixed every damn window, including the rear I thought the motor or regulator was toast on. Voltage test them first before getting too deep but this is not the first OBS ford I have had where replacing the master control switch solved a lot of window issues if not all.
Just a thought. A lot of the older chebbys are the same way.
Ill have to look but I believe that my master switch has been replaced. Dealer part if I recall. I'll have to look through my records now. But that was my first thought. If like to get another one and try it. Does anyone know if ford used that switch in anything else? Thought I might have better luck finding one from my parts guys that way.
Have a new window switch coming. It's a dorman which I'm not nuts about but it will/should help me rule out a few things I'm hoping.
I did look through my records and there was a new switch purchased in November of 2012. So it's not even 2 years old yet. I'm hard pressed to believe it's bad but at a minimum I'll have a spare and just have to keep looking.
