A touch of custom work...

I had a chance to add something that should have been done from Ford to begin with. Can anyone spot it? I'm pretty happy with the end result.

I've never been in a Plat truck. So this is a guess. Is it the wood accent on the wheel?

That thought crossed my mind when I posted this...how many would actually be familiar enough to notice the very subtle addition?
However, the wood grain steering wheel section is 100% factory.

Yep!!

A vendor on another forum is doing custom embroidery. I had always been put off my Ford and this console lid. The factory leather is nice, but I hated how it was missing something special. The King Ranch gets that fancy inlay. The Limited gets that swanky plaque. Why Ford left the Plat out of this is beside me. So I had the "PLATINUM" from the seat back digitized and stitched. I think it looks awesome.

As compared to the seat back:

I actually had one more item in the truck stitched, but it was POURING today and I can only get a picture of it from outside the truck That'll have to wait til tomorrow.

I'm not usually allowed in the same parking lot as platinum trucks, let alone going inside one.
Is that stitching, or did you stamp it into the leather?
EDIT: I see you answered my question. Looks awesome man.

Chandler I gotta say that looks awesome. As you can tell I for one thought that was factory. You sure had me fooled.

Ha, didn't mean to fool anyone! And thank you!
I'm waiting to see if the service guys and the dealer's aftermarket sales guy notice it the next time I take it in for service.

Chandler thanks for the reps sir. I noticed it when I first looked at the pic. But thought it was factory. I thought the wheel applique wasn't cause in the pic it looks a little different grain then the wood grain on the dash and console.

You're welcome!
The wheel applique is one of the reasons I love the Plat. It does match the remainder of the dash inlay. I'd be happy to take requests for pics if anyone is interested...I frickin love this interior!!

I got the same interior and love it too.
Also love my Lincoln Interior with the stitched emblems in the leather seats.

I love the look and not being familiar with a platinum myself, I actually thought it was 100% factory. Good job Chandler.

Thanks again fellas!
Here's the second item I had stitched. I use the slider A LOT and this seemed like a fun, subtle, way to add some flair.
