I haven't posted on this issue in the past, but my truck has been into the dealer twice for this issue. First time at 16k kms and again at 80k kms. The truck now has 92k kms on it and is experiencing the DW again. I will be taking it in again shortly.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated as well.
Here is a suggestion that would fall under the "other" moniker. I can see you pull a trailer. How about leveling your truck with a high end kit with new shocks, Deaver springs, a new track bar, and castor adjustments shims that has had a ton of R&D done to address issues like the dreaded DW? I have had and ridden in a ton of trucks with DW. I have not ridden in or had a truck that has had a high end leveling kit on it that HAS had DW at any speed. Most everybody on here knows the "Rancho" shocks are trash before 10k miles and the track bar is lackluster to be nice. Carli's starter leveling kit with all 4 Bilstein 5100 shocks, Deaver springs, the new magic track bar, and the castor shims is amazing. It only gives you about 2 inches of sprung lift in the front and 1 inch in the back and you don't need to buy new tires. If you do want it you should buy it soon as it is being discontinued. Not because it is not great but because their product line is already muddy and its just good enough to get you in real trouble hammering it off road...Their words not mine. Anyhoo file that under "other" ideas that will work.
Thanks Texan... perhaps I should have clarified that by "other" I meant "other solutions that will not cost me an arm and a leg"
It's going into the dealer tomorrow as the truck is still under warranty and I am researching options (aftermarket track bar, dual steering stabilizers, etc) that I can implement as the warranty comes to an end at 160k kms. That also gives me time to save a few bucks to implement something like the "other" option noted above.
upgrade your stock ford dampner shock to a bilisten help solve the death wobble with the aid of dual stabilizer kit, get the pmf dual stabilizer kit they get bilisten shocks with them

Thanks for pointing out the PMF kit... it is the first one I could find that will work with an unlifted/unleveled suspension. It's also currently on sale!!
I think I may consider upgrading the track bar as well considering the dealer just replaced the track bar ball joint assembly when the truck was in yesterday.
Well, I guess I will start with new tires considering they are getting to the wear limits and the shocks and steering stabilizer are only 6 months old with 13k kms on them. We'll see how this goes
I had the 'death wooble' at about 45,000 kms. I replaced the front tires and steering stabalizer, and now have 115,000 kms and it has not happened since..
