Im building a 88 ranger. I fit a m5od-r2 from a 95 F150 to a supercharged 3.8 v6. out of a super coupe. how ever the T-case is far to large to fit in the frame. does any know what T-case might fit? and if it bolted straight up that would be even better! also I used the fly wheel out of the F150 on the 3.8, does any know if the balance will be off?
The flexplate balance would be first issue to figure out. Use a NP 205 or 208 t-case. The 205 is all iron, heavy but will fit for sure. You will have to grind a notch out of the extension housing for the shift rail. The 208 is aluminum a little larger but will fit if you cut the tab off the side and may have to shave the bottom of the frame rail. You want a 208 from a fullsize bronco because they are fixed yoke. If you are worried about low ratio use the 208, durability use the 205. People have made the 1356 you have to fit but usually cut the frame pretty good.

Awesome thanks mate! Yeah to make the 1356 work I would have to take way more out of the frame than I want to, do you know what years Bronco i should look for? And by chance how much would be fair to sell my 1356 for? the guy I bought the parts truck from said it and the trans only had about 50k on them.
There isn't too much desire for a 1356. I couldn't really give one away. You need to look in early to mid 80s fullsize broncos for a NP208. 70s era trucks have the 205.
