83 Bronco Build

I recently picked up an 83 Bronco for $300 It has no motor. The ad said it had a 351w, but the sticker says 5.0, and some of the engine parts were left in the back. Included in the pile of parts is feedback carburetor and most of the wiring and vacuum lines for the feedback carb system seem to be intact. I bought this a toy/project.

So Im trying to figure out which motor would be best. It has a smallblock C6. This is gonna be for offroading with friends and camping trips, etc. What would you guys recommend for a good motor? Im not opposed to swapping in a newer fuel injected motor, and would actually prefer it because its 115 in the summer and 30 in the winter so fuel injection would make things alot easier.

Also, what would make the fuse for the parking lights blow when I turn the headlights on? I can pull the **** out to the first click and the parking lights are fine, but when I pull it out another click the headlights come on and the fuse for the parking lights pops.

Anybody with any suggestions for the motor? I ended up pulling the feedback carb wiring today because it was a mess, so I'm definitely not going back to that set up. Im really leaning towards a newer EFI just for ease of starting.

On a sidenote I think I got my headlight issue sorted out to the headlight switch because the fuse blows as soon as i try and change its position.
