hot while towing

I would add a deep trans pan also. My 89 460/E4od runs about 150 degrees with a gvcw of 20K. Climbs to about 180 in traffic & campgrounds.

89CrewCab,I believe your right.I was talking to my mechanic and he said it could be the catalitic(sp) converter.Something about with that many miles it could be time to get rid of it.

Anybody had any trouble with a catalytic converter failing?How do you know its failed?Would that cause any extra heat?
