Trying to get 78 bronco running, I drop the dist at #1 wire and on 0timming mark won't start unless floored and will die if I release the pedal any ideas?
Sounds like it runs off the accelerator pumps initial shot of gas but isnt getting any gas through any idle circuits. Probably some ports clogged or varnished up.
How did it run before you pull the dist.? What engine do you have? and what was the problem that you had to pull the dist.? If you are at 0* timing, you may want to advance it to about 10* and try it again.
