Monday morning at 0100 hit a moose on the way to work.
Love the EX but killed the stupid swamp donkey.
So looks like I will need a new hood, right fender, head light, and grill.
And as we say in Alaska a new moose gooser bumper.
I know you all would like pictures but I still have to learn how to do that.
I'm just a dumb truck driver you know.
Sorry to hear about the Moose Goose, I have a few close calls when we lived there. Glad to hear that it did not kill the Ex, hitting a moose can be a car killer. It is one of the reasons I invested in the "Moose Knuckle Sandwich" bumper that I now have on my Ex.
I hope insurance helps sort things out and that your Ex is soon back running and looking like it should. Glad you you were OK.

FYI, I like your user name, it reminds me of the Aces Mascot
Surprising the damage is not that bad for a impact that resulted in the death of a bull moose.
I did stop at Driven Auto on the way home for a quick estimate, 3000.00 from them need to get a couple more.
And yes I also like your "MKS" bumper.
If you hit a kill a moose, do you get to keep it? Being from Washington I have only ever seen one moose, and it was in Idaho. It would be pretty cool to have a stuffed moose. Wonder if I could talk the wife into that?
In Alaska, all road kill is the property of the state. There is a list of people who are called to haul away and butcher the animal. If you get on the list and get called, you get to keep it. There are also places like soup kitchens that are on the list, so the animal does not go to waste.
Yep bad time of year ditches all brown no snow so they blend in with background.
Really don't have that much damage considering it was a moose.
Thinking of just doing the repairs myself.

Around here it goes to the local zoo mostly. Those big cats eat a ton of meat.
