front cover removal
can the front cover be removed with the engine in the truck? i am going to be having the water pump off and the alternator off, i am wondering how much more effort it would be to pull the front cover if i am that deep anyway?
it would give me a chance to clean it really good and bead blast and clear coat it.

OK... finally got search working on my tablet and answered my own question....
apparently the oil pickup is bolted to the front cover and the pan has to be dropped to get the pickup loose, and the engine has to come out for the pan to be pulled....
now i know... and knowing is half the battle...
