Agreed and understood. I have started logging it now. 15 starts to free spin so far, trying to note a pattern.
I still don't understand it though. If the flex plate is missing teeth allowing the starter to free spin and the flex does not move on the second attempt when the truck does start normally then how is it the flex plate? I would assume the flex plate would need to move in order to engage the starter??
